About me


Hello, welcome to my portfolio! My name is Isabela and I am from Ribeirão Preto, Brazil. I graduated with honours as an architect and urbanist from the best university in Latin America, University of São Paulo. Currently, I work as an art director for an expanding digital educational company, and in the meantime, I am looking to consolidate my carreer as an UI/UX Designer. I consider myself to be a highly dedicated, communicative and organized person, always willing to learn new things and take on new challenges.

Illustrator

Coruja Sábia

Currently, I am in charge of creating copyrighted illustrations for the company's use in didactic materials and online classes.

Architecture Intern

Daniele Giacomeli Architecture and Interiors

For this internship at a local architecture office, I designed internal and external renovations of private residences and stores, as well as developed 3D models in SketchUp for renovation and construction of private homes and stores. I also worked in detailing woodwork design in AutoCAD and SketchUp

Scientific Researcher

September 2017 - September 2019

University of São Paulo

During my graduation, I enrolled in one of my insitute's academic research group. During the time, I've Developed and improved plates made from recycled coffee capsules for use in civil construction, collected material and conducted analysis and laboratory tests at the Civil Construction Laboratory of the Institute of Architecture and Urbanism of São Carlos.

UI/UX Design Specialization

2021 - present

California Institute of the Arts (Calarts)

In this UI/UX specialization couse, I summarized and demonstrated all stages of the UI/UX development process, and reviewed current best practices in UX design to create effective and compelling screen-based experiences for websites or apps. I also completed a series of short exercises, both visual and non-visual, to apply acquired knowledge, from organizing and structuring screen-based content,defining goals and strategy, to creating wireframes and visual mockups. Finally, I produced a digital prototype with simulated functionality, as well as a comprehensive plan for a complex website.

Web Languages and Responsive Design

2021 - present

University of Michigan

This Specialization taught me how to write syntactically correct HTML5 and CSS3, and how to create interactive web experiences with JavaScript. Mastering this range of technologies allowed me to develop this website, that works seamlessly on mobile, tablet, and large screen browsers. During the final project, I was able to develop a professional-quality web portfolio demonstrating my growth as a web developer and my knowledge of accessible web design.

Bachelor Degree in Architecture and Urbanism

2015 - 2021

During 5 years and a half, I have dedicated my studies to the Architectural construction area. For the past year, I realized that everything I learned through the course could also be applied in the Web Design area, which always amazed me. My current objective is to develop my skills even further to be able to change my carreer and find myself proffesionaly.

This is an app developed for both brazilians and people from around the world. Its main focus is to help you find the nearest brazilian restaurants and deliveries.

This is a project made for the UI/UX especialization course from the California Institute of the Arts (Calarts). It consists of a website made to a pandemic-adaptable delivery business. Easy to use, consistent and with a beautiful design.

My Services


UI/UX design

Following the UI/UX Design principles, I can design and code a functional, user-friendly and beautiful website, using HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript. I can also project and develop wireframes and mockups using Balsamiq, InVision and Adobe XD.

Illustration

I have a passion for making art. Over the last years, I refined my Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator skills to create my illustrations, and this helped me enter the professional Illustration world.

Design Thinking

Design Thinking is essentially a way of solving problems that combines a holistic user-centered perspective with rational and analytical research analysis in order to create innovative solutions. Through that, I am able to solve problems through empathy and offering innovative solutions.

Responsive design

A website must be properly viewed on a wide variety of screens. I make sure that your website is always optimally usable on any device, operating system and web browser.
